I have been crafting and sewing since childhood. I enjoy designing and sewing draperies and slipcovers. I have sewn clothing for 50's vinyl dolls for about fifteen years. Many projects have made it to my sewing machine through the years, but making dog collars remains my favorite.
I have been making martingale collars for ten years now and still find the process exciting and fun. I love shopping for new fabrics… you just never know what might turn up here next!
I live in Southern Maryland on the St Mary’s peninsula and am married to my best friend George who has encouraged my collar endeavor for many years. My children are grown up and the youngest just finishing her last year of college. So now I am owned by two retired racing greyhounds, (Lulu and AJ) one huge borzoi, (Wookie) and two cats.
Part of the joy of making collars is shopping for beautiful fabrics! Floral, stripes, plaids, there is no end to the fun I have imagining what the fabric will look like in the finished collar.
